BLACK LIVES MATTER
At LABEL we’re taking active steps to create change. We are listening, reading, learning and talking to our peers, friends and family but we need and yearn to do more.
We recognise that our industry is dominated by white faces and white voices.
As white business owners we acknowledge our privilege. We want to be better, and make our industry better.
As a first step of many, LABEL’s Directors want to offer mentorship to two BAME graduates who want to break into the PR / Marketing / Influencer industry where we can share industry contacts and knowledge.
We also want to offer one black female-founded business (fashion/beauty/lifestyle) pro bono PR support for one year (dates for this will be dependent on the brand who needs our help – whether it’s a new launch next year or more immediate help – we’re here) Please share / tag with businesses.
We will continue our work with diverse influencers, including boosting voices of black, Asian and ethnic minorities in all of our work.
We want campaigns we work on to look like the world we live in. We vow that influencer work managed by LABEL will include people of colour. Event invitations and guest listing will always be diverse.
We are not perfect and will make mistakes. We want to keep the conversation going. Pull us up, ask questions if we’re unclear, we’re here to engage and change the industry from the inside.
